Ok on the picture is a wire that was disconected when i pulled off the cover. Attatched to the wired that is not connected to anything is a white wire with a black strip. I take it the wire was replaced and they attatched it to the new wire so you would know what wire it was according to the color code. the color code states that it is a temp sensor. There is one on each side of the engine. Would there be any reason this should be disconected? I reatatched it but dont want to mess anything up. Hopefully the picture explanes it. Thanks you

looks like temp sensor wire, that just needs to be plugged back in.

Something is amiss, the port temperature switch should have two wires coming out of the port cylinder head: one white with a black stripe, and one tan.

The tan wire should then connect to the warning system. The white with black striped wire should run to the corresponding white with black striped wire from the powerpack.

These wires control QuikStart and S.L.O.W. as well as sounding the alarm if the engine overheats.

BTW, what's the model number?
