You started a sentence with also, not Also. :) Good spelling, though. Except for actually, posts (twice).

Sloopster it will be 100 consecutive posts with no spelling or grammatical errors. Let me tell you I can't even do that and I am supposed to be able to. I don't think even the pickiest of editors could do it either.

JB makes errors. Then he re-reads and goes back and edits them. :)

Just asking, but isn't that "re-reads"? BH

JB - That's pretty funny. -2sp

The thing about spelling is that the word looks correct to the author because he's the one that spelled the word in the first place. That's why we have editors, right?

The problem of pointing out someones spelling is, from then on, the pointer has to triple check his own spelling.

Personally, I find purposeful mis-spelling to be trite, the honest error easily over-looked, and the occassional error to sometimes be a source of great humor. Especially when dealing with: compound subjects, tricky independent clauses, and my favorite - the dangling participle.

Regards, from The adumbrative poster, BH

Re: 100 no errer (darn) post!!!

I once gave a handwritten draft to a typist to type a draft for me.

He was very rushed and didn't proof his work. When he brought me the typed draft the heading, which originally read "Output Board", came out "Putput Broad". :D

Too bad he wasn't a girl. We could have nicknamed her "The Putput Broad", "Puput" for short.

Nice name for a small displacement hull with a single cylinder outboard, though. :)

We once had a dispatcher type "recowboy oven" instead of "recalibrate oven",on a repair order.
Now where did that come from?

the good one i remember was last year when a new dispatch operator typed in a heading for a client. it is on an internal webpage for the whole SE USA, and she was trying to save space on the header for the title of an assistant office manager.

it was "the ass mgr can't get in again"

Was drawing parts from the storeroom one time and the mechanic in front of me turned around with his requisition pad and asked "How do you spell o-ring?". We never let him forget that one.

Re: 100 no errer (darn) post!!!

here's a trick 4 u '00 , write all your responses
in word or outlook express, do a spellcheck on
the post when done, then just cut and paste.
you'll never have a mis-spelled word again and
it will also prompt you to correct grammatical
mistakes.
but then who we gonna get to be dock-boy?
