I posted this in a thread in regard to the motor, but I think this is where I should have posted it:

Boat 1985 Harris flotebote 24' according to specs it weighs 1,849 pounds

Engine 1988 Johnson 88SPL

Current prop 17x13 - 3 blade aluminum - don't know the brand, probably originial prop from motor (motor not original to boat)

RPM WOT with 2 adults on board: 4,000 speed = 22 mph
RPM WOT with 7 adults and 5 kids: 3,500 speed = 16 mph

We should go with smaller pitch? 13? 15? We have no other props to play around with for this.

Thanks
Melanie

Re: Prop adjusting for pontoon boat

Prop size is allways given Diameter (13) X pitch (17).
I think an 11" pitch should work for you.Pontoons are really difficult to figure but
the 11 should be close.
