The iboats forum moderators are excited to announce that at this time it appears the iboats forums posting pictures function is working once again. Though we cannot promise for how long, we're hoping for indefinitely.
Just a little smack talking thread. New Ford vs. Old Chevy. 2006 Ford F-350 Super Duty vs. 1987 Chevy K20. Chevy's mine and Ford is a friend. We love the constant battle, but I find it hard do beat the old 350. What do you guys think?
I have an 87' 125 and I decarbed it, (soaked it in carb cleaner) for a night. Long of the short I ended up blowing part of the seat out of the pressed brass seat. Must have been a rubber material and shriveled up with the cleaner. The carb is a Tillotsin TC, and I dont know what I should do now...
Hey guys, I recently had lower unit issues and replaced the unit. Everything gear wise is functioning properly shifts smooth again, thankfully. Before I replaced the unit I adjusted the shift rod linkage to try and get some more time out of the unit. The result was the motor shifting, but it...
I have been searching the forum trying to find information and I have found a very old thread. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=148288&highlight=metal+shavings
The post had all the problems I had, and I think the adjustment they are referencing could save me. Trouble is I do not know...
Hey guys, my 87' 125 crapped out on me. I went out for the day and had no problem. When i got back close to the dock I popped it into neutral to wait for a guy on the ramp and went to put it back into forward and it made a grinding noise, similar to an engagement shift, but only continuous and...
Hey guys I power washed a guys deck today and I have no idea what to charge. I have never done it for an earning but he insists. The deck is 20 feet long by 15 feet wide with railings. I was there for about 3 and a half hours. Any ideas of what would be reasonable? thanks
Hey guys i live in MA and im in the process of trying to register the trailer that came with my boat. Its an escort trailer and it is rated at 2700lbs. In MA there is no titles under 3000lbs so the trailer never apparently had a title. I was told that i needed an old registration to register it...
Hey guys, Just got my boat going this weekend and my motor is running well. Went out for a ride and no problems, big relief. The trouble is that when the motor is in neutral and idling it runs normal for roughly 8-10 seconds then buck as though it wants to die, then recover and idle smooth for...
Hey guys, I was replacing my 87 K20 front driveshaft this weekend. I connected the back 4 bolts to the gearcase, then began installing the shaft to the front gearcase with the u-joint retainers. I dont know how or why, but the 2 out of the 4 bolts snapped while torqueing them down to the front...
Hey guys, within the next few months im going to be shopping around for an older pickup truck. Im a college student looking for something to tow the boat. My question is how many miles do trucks usually get. Is buying a truck with 130,000 miles pointless. Or will most trucks have a long way to...
Hey guys, Im obtaining my grandfathers 87' Chevy 1500 Custom Deluxe this Spring. I know it needs two tires and the 4x4 drive shaft so I want to start looking for them now so come spring I might have gotten them for a good price. SO my question is what size tires would I need on stock rims, and...
The Other day I went to grab my Force manual and looked at the cover picture for a few seconds. I am assuming many people in this forum have the same manual, so you can probably grab yours and look. I find it very interesting that the woman in the picture is holding the VHF radio in her hands...
Anybody know a good downloadable sound recorder. I play guitar and have trying to find a recorder that records good quality without having to spend any money. Last time i recorded i basically just used the windows recorder and stretched out the 60 second blocks to the point where I could record...
Hey guys, recently bought Garmin GPS 152 with the internal antenna. Seems to be a nice unit, it was that or a handheld. So I was looking at the power cable and it is a power/data cable with 7 different color wires coming off the chord. I imagine red and black are power and ground, but do I need...
Hey Guys, I recently bought a new boat and the guy that had it before me never used the internal gas tank. I figured this might be a good place to post this as some people may have boughten back old unused tanks. The gas tank was nearly filled for 3 years and now I have drained almost all the...
Hey guys, i've got my 87' Force 125. guy i bought it from said he always ran hight test 93 in it. Is this normal. Do I need to do the same. I have never heard of this I have always used regular 87 in my other motors. Is it bad to have one tank of 87 and one 93 when i take it out this week.
Hey guys I posted this in the Trophy section and got no response, just hoping to see if anybody here is a little more helpful.
Anybody know the history of Trophy Boats. As far as I have heard, Trophy was originally Bayliner. Thats pretty much all i know. I own an 1987 18' center console. The...
Hey guys, I recently bought my boat and only got to use it for one weekend before I winterized it last weekend. Thanksgiving is coming up this week and I am very tempted to de-winterize and take out the boat with all the family that will be down. It is November and I live in MA and I was just...

Anybody know the history of the company. As far as I have heard, Trophy was originally Bayliner. Thats pretty much all i know. I own an 18' center console. The original owner called it a Trophy, yet it had Bayliner stickers. I have no idea, does anybody else.
Thanks, Marcus
