    Finally, a good idea.

At last someone's come up with a way to combat the problem.... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10528709/Weapons-manufacturer-unveils-AR-15-KIDS-called-JR-15.html

    Shift interrupter switch.

If it's Thunderbolt then the switch connects directly to the distributor sensor, and has no interaction with the ignition module. It should work regardless... MPI, different ball of wax... Chris...

    help with iffy gas?

It's not that they don't still run, but parts are getting hard to get and more expensive, and the shop becomes liable if they take on a job then can't finish it (it's the law)... Most of the shops (here) won't touch anything beyond 15 years old. It's only us old guys who still know how points...

    help with iffy gas?

Australia has been adding ethanol to petrol for years. You can't buy petrol without it here, and we very very rarely see any ethanol related fuel system problems. Only on very very old cars/boats that didn't have ethanol resistant hoses do you see any problems, and there's so very few engines...

Got ME a nice something, BECAUSE!!! :)

Given the recent(?) spate of gun related violence, does anyone really think this thread is appropriate? (I've already had people PM'ing me to shut it down)... Chris... iboats mod team.

    Power trim check valve?

Possibly. But the valve is inside the pump body. If it is the cause, you need to either have enough knowledge of hydraulic pumps to be able to strip it and repair it, or you need to replace the pump. Try resealing the cylinders first and if that doesn't fix it, it's the pump... Chris...

1991 carburated 4.3 fuel pump output.

What you described is a check valve. An anti syphon valve is installed the other way. It will allow a 'small' flow but if the flow exceeds the spring pressure (if the fuel line is damaged and allowing fuel to free flow) it pushes the ball against the body, stopping flow... Personally, I don't...

    Lower unit water in oil

Pull the drive, drain the oil, pressure test the drive... That's the only way to find the leak. Anything anybody here says it's just a guess, nothing more... Chris ...

Water leak to the bilge from transom please help

Then that's probably the hydraulic manifold gasket. I know you're trying to avoid pulling the boat out of the water, but I don't thing you can. Leave it in the water and risk a pump or battery failure and come back to find the boat flooded. If it were mine I'd have it on a trailer in the...

Water leak to the bilge from transom please help

Put the boat on a trailer or dolly, put enough (fresh) water in the bilge to come up to the level of the leak. Go to the outside of the boat and see where the water is coming out. I doubt you'll be able to find the leak with the boat in the water, you need to haul it out. Chris.....

    help with iffy gas?

This is about as good as you'll get. The only thing you should be doing with bad fuel is getting it all out of the tank and throwing down the drain (just kidding), disposing of it properly. Bad fuel is only good for one thing, killing engines. There is NOTHING you can add to it that will make...

Water leak to the bilge from transom please help

I don't think they're cracks. I think they're the black 'brush spray' the glassers put on after the flowcoat.

Water leak to the bilge from transom please help

Very unlikely the bellows... It might be the gasket under the trim hose manifold. Even for that you're going to need to pull the boat out.

Water leak to the bilge from transom please help

If it's not coming from higher up and pooling there, the most likely thing that would cause water to get in at that point is the main gimbal housing to transom seal. Unfortunately the only fix for that is drive off, engine out, transom housing off. Chris.....
