    Lower unit lube

    I just drained my lower unit. The oil was lime green. I have seen other units drain white which indicates water. <br /><br />About a month ago I had a replacement skeg welded on. Could this by the cause? <br /><br />Oil was also very very thick. <br /><br />Any ideas

    Poor Skeg Weld

    I have recently had to have a replacement skeg welded onto my Mercury outdrive. The weld looks ok, but an additional bead was welded to each side of the skeg increasing the profile. <br /><br />They painted the skeg, but should I grind the welded beads smooth?
