    Hey,<br />I just found an old Elgin hidden away :) that must have belonged to my late uncle.<br />Model 571.58301 - one cylinder.<br /><br />Any idea of the date and horsepower (ponypower maybe more like it)? Where would I get a basic manual for it?<br /><br />I am sure this hasn't been on...

    Hey,<br />Sorry for the late thanks. I'm back on the water and probable a hundred bucks richer for doing the job myself. The flywheel came right off with three pops and the coil fixed the problem.<br />Thanks again.

    1964 3 HP YACHTWIN DILEMMA

    1964 EVINRUDE 3HP YACHTWIN MODEL 3432.<br />PROBABLY HAS 500 HOURS ON IT. NO KNOWN TUNE UP EXCEPT NEW PLUGS SINCE 1964.<br />PROBLEM: MOTOR LOSES POWER FOR RANDOM PERIODS 1 TO 10 MINUTES AND JUST AS SUDDENLY ROARS BACK TO LIFE FOR 1 TO 10 MINUTES.
