    I came into this Alumacraft 1442. I have a 1976 Evinrude 6hp that ran my older boat great. This engine doesn't do so good with the newer and bigger boat.<br />She'll handle a 25hp. She weighs 200 lbs dry.<br />Anyone know of any good used 18-25 hp engines? <br />Think the jon boat will fly...

    25hp 1972 Johnson Sea Horse, flywheel seized, prop seized, stuck in neutral

    My friend bought a 1972 Johnson 25hp sea horse. It ran great the first time we had it out.<br />Then yesterday:<br />It wouldn't go in foward<br />It would go in reverse<br />then it seized in neutral, won't go out of gear.<br />The prop is frozen.<br />The flywheel is frozen.<br />What may...
