1990 Trophy twin Force 120s prop question

I thought you said with the 4 blade it did not come above 4400 rpms and now you say its overrevving ?? You keep mentioning slipping, how can you tell if one prop is slipping more than the other?? I'm lost! I would have the same prop on each motor

1990 Trophy twin Force 120s prop question

I'm NO expert and I only know; what I've learned over the years by reading up & my findings on the water. A 4 blade with a 19P may very well be too much of a pitch for your set-up A 3 blade with a 19P may work better (higher pitch more distance travelled per revolution = speed, for fighting...

1990 Force 120HP B model cannot seem to find the issue with sporadic no start

The position of the roller should stay where it is (if you followed Frank's instructions that has been sent to you before) the only change your making now is in step 4 4 The black roller is held with an offset screw and nut. Loosen the nut and turn the screw until the black roller JUST touches...

1990 Force 120HP B model cannot seem to find the issue with sporadic no start

I don't think the age of the fuel is making it "dying in gear" You can adjust the cam-roller ever so slightly so that the "primary pick up" is advanced, this "can" solve the dying in gear problem

1990 Trophy twin Force 120s prop question

You don't necessary need a 4-blade prop. (this might be the problem) In my experience & opinion; A 17P to 19P should do the job, either both or one engine running. I found that a 15P on the 125HP (mounted on a Doral Spirit 2,500LBS) was underpropped & rev too high. Just picked up a 21P and going...

Temperature alarm with good flow out pee hole?

I would start with that. also stop running it without proper cooling! When the lower-unit is off........force water up the P/U-tube (garden-hose) to see if water is flowing through the head passages. Keep us posted

Temperature alarm with good flow out pee hole?

"HAD good flow" When was the last time you changed the impeller?? I would start there & Re-check the thermostat, running in salt water? The engine block does not have a poppet-valve

    1987 Force 125 tower shaft linkage frozen/seized

#32 is not labeled with the word "vent" nor is the one beside it. #32 is the shift-pin bolt that is near the bottom on the side. To fill; remove the two cap-bolts near top they have either gaskets or O-rings on them

I see fuel spitting out of the carb(s) have you checked the reed valves if any are broken/missing and/or sealing properly? Are the floats in the carbs set properly and/or closing off the fuel supply?

    Force 120hp won't start

Starter disengages immediately? sounds like bad battery-cables/connectors/bad ground/ bad starter-relay. does the starter disengage when you jump the relay? I'm not sure if this was send to you but when you have figured out your starter issues; I would follow the steps below carefully...

You need to spin the prop WHILE you shift into gear. Have you drained the gear-oil to see the color as jerryjerry has suggested

    1987 Force 125 tower shaft linkage frozen/seized

You NEED to turn the prop while shifting into gear (or have engine running)
