    Oil in bellows questions…

Right, retainer wrench is the tool needed. I was thinking full reseal which requires a bit more Check list: pressure tester, drive stand, sae wrenches, drain pan, bent pick, oem parts in hand, air is nice but electric impact may suffice, large screwdriver, shop press, lubricants/sealers, oem...

    Oil in bellows questions…

You need more tools, especially special (proprietary) tools. Especially if you want to complete the job in flat rate time Not sure of the bolt you mention, there is a nut that needs removed No need for a dial indicator but you will need a dial torque wrench, 0-15 lb/in works best, decent...

I changed my lower end your oil on my Evinrude 18 hp guy at AutoZone said that should work??? making sure

Like asking forgiveness instead of permission? Good news is OP is okay, at least their gear case is using the pictured oil. Best to use high perf or gl5 spec oil but the 75-90 will suffice I think the last time I introduced a valvoline product to anything I own was in high school. No doubt the...

Still chasing hard warm starting, 7.4 carbed

'95 carbureted, weber, 454 guessing thunderbolt ignition wouldn't require ignition bypass. Might be gen v but crossover/vintage inventory could be iv, won't know without pictures Good news for OP the dribbling venturis mean no harm to the (30 hr?) short block. Heads not sent out for valve job...

    Oil in bellows questions…

Cheapest route is to find a local, reputable shop to reseal the drive shaft housing. Most likely be charged the afore mentioned flat rate of 4 hrs, parts separate. Hopefully that'd include a decent inspection of the transom assy/drive r and r Heck, they'd probably find issues with the bellows too!

    Fuel issues

The water sep housing may have a restriction but it also could be drawing air Quicksilver recalled this seasons crop of water seps cuz for some reason they decided to use an o ring seal instead of a quad ring. Still no update from merc so been using sierra brand water seps with the quad ring...

Mercruiser Alpha one gen 2 leaking gear oil

The pocket below the upper drive shaft will always hold gear oil, even when the drive is fully drained. When you split the drive halves the oil drops down the lower driveshaft onto the water pump housing. I've never found a way to not have this happen Instead of splitting and partially...

    Ford 302 spark plug read

Plugs look fine according to the pictures Ford likey drinky fuel so feel free to install bigger jets, it won't hurt anything I really feel for a stock, naturally aspirated 302 you're looking too deep. If the engine is performing as expected there's no need for such scrutiny.
