    Achilles floor replacement

Can't help you remove the H channel but I recently restored a few plywood sections with SYSTEMTHREE penetrating epoxy and epoxy putty. Saved a ton of money and time.

    Airhead Boats

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Get a used small zodiac. If you're willing to drive and look hard enough you'll come across a deal. The quality is much better. You'll be happier in the long run.

Hull hole where airfloor board pushes on hull

I owned a SK430 Air floor. It's gone now. My buddy owns a 12 foot Air floor. We both don't like the build quality. They're affordable. And they work. But mine fell apart. Literally. You know when you do a soap test for leaks. The entire boat was bubbling. Hand glued seams. I've heard this...

Hull hole where airfloor board pushes on hull

I've owned a Saturn. No offense but their boats are low priced for a reason. Mine was garbage. I'd be pretty pissed and bring it back to my dealer if I bought a new boat , took it out twice and this happened. The bottom of the boat should never really touch anything other than water. You...

    Water leak in Saturn SIB

Way too complicated ... Inflate your boat . Raise your boat . Fill it with water . Leak found. Problem solved.

I want to believe. Check out this 9.9 to 15 conversion I found online. All he did was bend the reed valves to 6mm :

14 lbs thrust trolling motor for inflatable boat - enough?

It's enough to simulate ONE single person paddling It's not enough if you want to go faster than that. If you want a cheap battery go to a scrapyard. If you want a good battery build a lithium battery pack.

Bought a 10 ft Cadet with slow air leak

If you inflate the boat with more than 3.5 PSI the soap will bubble. If the soap doesn't bubble use less water more soap. My bet is the endcones.

70s 9.9 won't start or idle in Neutral?

Sometimes the money you try to save ends up costing you more in the long run. You have a trip in a few days. I wouldn't trust that motor. What if you get stranded and there's no one around for miles. Your friend is right, you're in over your heads. Sell it as a running motor that needs work and...

    1985 Yamaha 9.9SK

I'll order the parts. My Evinrude has the 9.9 carb, but he did swap the flywheel and converted it to from points & condensers to CDI . Does it make a big difference? What's the advantage ? I also have a 15 Evinrude which goes a bit faster than the 9.9 Evinrude, but uses the older points and...

Excellent post. I'm going to do everything you mentioned. Is the only difference between the 9.9 and the 15 the reed valve spacing and throttle limiter ?
