I saw a video where the guy bought BRP points that were absolute trash.
I guess I'm buying aftermarket. Thanks.
What's the general concesus on using used points, condensers, and coils pulled from a junkyard ?
I currently have a 76 15hp.
Once I find a 93 and up , I should notice an improvement in overall performance. Bigger displacement, larger exhaust, stronger spark vs points and condensers, improved reed valves, and it should be a lot smoother overall
Thanks. I'm going to focus on a 93 and up 15 hp because I can still lift them easily.
Some people cant , physically lift 80 lbs , maybe age, or a bad elbow or shoulder , ect.... and so they opt for the lighter one.

Main reason for the upgrade would be weight . I assemble and transport every outing.
Seller claims the 2000 Tohatsu is faster / better than any old Evinrude 15...

You'll observe less "gunk" residue oozing from the exhaust.
Most engines perform fine with regular gas, however one of the issues is with Ethanol.
Ethanol is hygroscopic. This means it will...
Thanks. I prefer something I can maintain.
What year did they switch to the newer "bigger" style.
I prefer the older more compact version where the tiller tucks away for transport
