    The outboard is a 1998 9.9 HP 2 stroke and I just picked it up. Started fine, ran for about 10 mins. Shut it off . Then it was hard to start. Checked the plugs, fine. Reseated the plug wires. Hard to start. Had to basically turn the throttle to wide open , full choke , primed the bulb and...

    Yes you absolutely can with no ill effects if you stay within an acceptable 24V range. Listen to me. Swap out your lead acid batteries to LiFePO4 .

    Can confirm it's an E10RECC which makes it a 1998 Would any 93 and up 15 carb fit ... or ... is it recommended only getting a 1998 and up 15 carb .

    76 Evinrude 15Hp

    Ran it open for 30 mins to the destination. The weather changed and cut our trip short . No choice but to "cruise" at trolling speed due to conditions, roughly 2 plus hours back to the marina. Your advice will help a lot of new users and shorten their learning curve . New Plugs worked.
