Looking for a very unique head unit

The single din format is getting harder to find. More likely than not because only the oldies but goodies still use that format. Most are now double din or larger. Good luck in your search. You find something let me know as my Trans Am is due for an upgrade - has an older Pioneer CD/AM/FM I...

Looking for a very unique head unit

Pioneer AVH has a single din BUT the current models rely on Apple Car Play or Android for NAV. I'm finding this to be more of the norm these days. You might find an older unit used that includes the onboard NAV. Probably something about 5-10 years old.

How/where to put in a stereo in my (new to me) Triton 175 fishing boat?

That's probably not where I would look. Check other sources...Crutchfield has a marine section with a marine MB Quart package (includes 2 speakers) at about $140. There are other discount audio sources out there...Google is your friend.

    Boat Cover

My uncle's Sylvan is much like yours - bow mount trolling motor and 75HP Yammie out back. He has a custom vinyl snap on cover that he uses when docked which covers the trolling motor. The snaps attach to studs on the side of the hull. Cost a pretty penny but it works. My Chap has a bow mount...

How/where to put in a stereo in my (new to me) Triton 175 fishing boat?

No room for one of these? https://rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/pmx-3/ Not much bigger than a full sized gauge. I was looking at these a while back to replace my POS Jensen MS3A...

    1981 ss150

Umm..."sea nymph boat ss150" and go from ALL to Images. Bunch of stuff shows. But for a 4+ decade old boat, I'd consider that a blank slate and set it up as I wanted, not how the manufacturer set it up eons ago.

    Nobody fishing?

Shipping was free on this item. So umm....nope? I'll be getting another soon as I have more poles to add to the stand. My sons are already eyeing up their next upgrades... Really depends on the item as some of the O Scale trains I buy are incredibly heavy so a $20-30 shipping fee is actually in...

    Rain needed

My cousin has a cottage on the River in Clayton NY. He was telling me just this weekend his floating dock is sitting on bedrock. He had to get into the water to wrestle his Sylvan off his boat lift and he has no hope of getting it back on. So...beyond low.

    Astro 1970

Then its an Astro boat. I don't see the issue here as several boat manufacturers have come and gone. Doesn't change who manufactured the boat.

    Engine size for Wooden Boat?

I've never heard anyone say they bought too big of a motor...but I've certainly heard many lament they should have gone bigger. So if the boat will take it, I'd go for the 40HP.

What accurate humidity level in full basement stops all mold ?

Mine's my furnace. It'll dry anything out...including my 110 gallon pond I keep in the basement over winter time. Can lose 1-2" of water in a week. Which reminds me...probably time to refill it. My koi and Shubunkin will be happy when I do. I run a dehumidifier only during the summer, whatever...

Lund Renegade 1975 vs Ranger RT198p

Having ridden in my uncle's Sylvan (aluminum) and then my Bayliner, it's night/day difference between the two. The Sylvan beat the ever living stuffing out of me in a slight chop. With more weight, the Bayliner was nice and smooth. Same sized boats too. I'd take a ride in one during rough...

Need help starting upa 1987 Glassport 16'5" Bowrider

Think this might just be the manufacturer's website: https://newportvessels.com/products/nt300-electric-outboard-motor?srsltid=AfmBOoo8OVCv64o1wiXtww5-Eub78cyHDSqnXmAcpJP5yxPnxO44aFG1 Electric outboard, 3HP. Umm....in the water, twist the handle for throttle?? Really no "start" to one of...

    Gun ownership and permits.

Hand on horn, vehicle in drive, and if that isn't enough...4x4. I might feel a bump as they go under the vehicle. Crass explanation but not escalated with a gun.

    Whats this part???

I'd wager that's the speedo pickup as I seem to recall both the Force and the Honda having that right about the same spot. Provided I'm right, and there's a decent amount of doubt there, should be a section of hose up on the transom somewhere it connects to. Just splice in the section you need...

    towing - engine in neutral?

When you only have to winch it a foot, its incredibly doable. So yes, a couple minutes max. Like I said, know your boat and trailer and you won't be the hold up.

    Gun ownership and permits.

Nope. IF I was in a location where a firearm was needed, then I'd have the real thing. Training, practice and all. Honestly, if it gets to that point, the house is going up for sale and we're moving.

    towing - engine in neutral?

On topic...I've always trailered with my engines in N. Doesn't matter if outboard or I/O. Off topic...power loading...I've (ok admiral as she was bringing the boat in for end of vacation) only done it on very, very rare occasions. Once you get to know your boat AND trailer, you can be out of...

Suggestions on how to fill my onboard gas tank?

When I had the Force engine on the Bayliner, I would dump the oil into the gas tank and then fill the boat at the pump. Easy, peasy. The act of filling from the pump and trip from gas station to launch will mix it. Let's not over complicate this. Having btdt with 5 gallon gas cans, I now pull...

    Tarps

I've tried tarps over the winter 2x for my boats. First on the Bayliner then a couple years back on the Chap - both for the perceived cost savings over shrink wrap. Results...Bayliner had mold on the seats and gouges in the hull from the grommets the following spring. Chap collapsed in a major...
