    New pistol for carry

I have a Mark III. It was one of my competitive guns, and my favorite gun to shoot. Every time I feel bad about my groupings, I pull that thing out and boost my ego back up.

    New pistol for carry

See: that's really funny. I know S&W is a good firearm. They've been around a long time, and I really like their revolvers. But I have never fired a S&W semi that I really liked (and I've shot quite a few). My Taurus is nothin' special, but I can hit with it. I really like H&K, Springfield and...

    New pistol for carry

@WIMUSKY : a word of advice (that perhaps you've already considered) - don't just shoot, or dry fire the guns when you look at them. I recommend that you stash them where you intend to carry them, and try your draw and fire with them. Having a gun that shoots the way you like is a piece of the...

    its here

^^^ I'm kinda' caught in the middle. My grass looks like it could stand a trim, but they're threatening us with flurries this weekend.

    New pistol for carry

I looked at the S&W .380 Bodyguard when I bought my LCP. Almost went with it, but the Ruger was cheaper, simpler and I like Ruger guns. I stayed .380 simply so I had a very compact carry gun - especially in the summer. .380 shoots okay. I wouldn't wanna' compete with it, but for "get me outta'...

    GPS Location APP

^^^ It happens. Surprisingly, sometimes the interface on the avionics is a little more klunky than you would think in such a "smart phone" world. The crew should own it and use it for improvement purposes; particularly because of the type of incident it is. But, you can always tell a pilot ...

    New pistol for carry

Went back and watched the video you posted Musky - I think dude sped his film up some. Watched a couple of more videos on the gun, and no one was getting double taps off like the first vid. I shot competitively with a Glock that had a similar trigger pull. The 1911 guys were almost always...

That's impressive. Never touched the Max-9, but I'm a pretty big Ruger fan.

    Need to ID motor

You do: you will find a port on the top of the intermediate immediately outside of the transom of the boot. You will have to suck the old lube out and then replace it - I've used a turkey baster kind of rig in the past.

    Best Phone App for Charts

You can use the app for free, but it doesn't have all of the chart data. You have to subscribe to get all of the data. I think the charts that I purchased in the past ran me about $30. The online planning viewer is very good too, like Scott said.

    Best Phone App for Charts

I played with Navionics to see how accurate it was several years ago. I was on iPhone 4 or 5 at the time. You can see the results HERE. Honestly, I was pretty impressed. Here in TN, I can keep the screen shaded and typically only need the chart view for a short time. When I was on the ICW using...

    Best Phone App for Charts

The Hummingbird finder that I got a couple years ago has a decent set of maps for the lakes inland, and it can integrate with Navionics. I also have Navionics on my phone, and since I am rarely where I can't get reception I like the way Navionics works for me.

Hi from Newfoundland Canada :) Intro Fourwinns Fling

Welcome aboard. You may want to take some time, put the plug in and back the trailer into the water. Look for water invading the boat. If five years ago it started taking on water, that problem likely hasn't been solved. If you can't find water coming in when the boat is floating (still...

I did the Bayliner too. Kinda' funny for me that for the most part "winterizing" is just pullin' the block drain and shovin' it back in the garage. But we won't get a chance to go back out until December at the earliest ... and the Admiral isn't much of a winter boaterette.

There are three, maybe four now, ships at Jamestowne in Virginia: The Susan Constant & Godspeed are the two I know for sure. They're as close to original as they felt they could build them, and don't carry engines on board. The Susan Constant sails a couple times per year I think: don't need...

Dunno' about attracting dirt and grit, but I never greased those gears. Cleaned 'em often enough, but never greased them.

Very cool @sphelps : did they have engines on that one? I got to see the Niña in Knoxville a few years ago. I was surprised at how small it was, but the guys sailing her said it was pretty close to the right size of the original. She was fitted with a couple of engines due to regulations based...

    Need to ID motor

Outboardbooks.com BUT - just a word of "caution." This drive is old, obsolete, finicky and parts are getting harder to find for them. The OMC Electric shift was done by 1977, and OMC was gone by the mid-90s. It's an antique drive and it will take time and attention in the garage. A lot of...
