What you need to do, is figure out why the fuel system isn't working properly,.....
There could be a problem with the tank, the diptube, the anti-siphon valve at the tank's outlet, the gas...

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,..... At the keyswitch, with a test light, is there power at the battery terminal,..?? Usually a red wire,...
With the key "On", is there power at the ignition terminal,..?? Usually a purple wire,....
With the key to "Start", is there power at the start...

A prop strike with a stainless prop is more likely to destroy the drive, 'n the prop,....

In 1990, the rear main oil seal changed, so there a possible issue there, unless you get the entire package,( flywheel, coupler, etc),....
