disconnecting the battery cable lead can do it causing the alt to run wild. dirty connection ,fittings, corrosion,battery switch and connections neg cable at engine loose ,corroded, etc Also a open winding in the alt can do the same.
alpha Gen II housing that was taking on a lot of water. Suspected of using regular bottom paint instead of outdrive paint over the years. What do you think?
If the gearset uses the inner spacer between the bearings you tighten to 85Ft/lbs ,if the gearset does NOT use the inner spacer and the gears are a press fit you use rolling torque
sounds like English is not you native language. . The shift interrupt switch is on the stbd riser with the shift cables. If the arm is moving BUT not stumbling the motor it is not connected and that is the problem...
looking at the upper arm of the shift mechanism of the drive using a right hand prop rotation for fwd, the rod is attached to the stbd side of the arm ,witch way is fwd gear up or down ? installing a new box and motors not running yet.
