Me neither but then again...i know next to nothing. It's running. Well at least up to 3500 to 4500 rpms then starts surging like it's starving for fuel. It was doing this before. I started a new thread on that issue. It's the final hurdle I have. Thread titled "1990 force 120 2 stroke loss of...

Tech called the force 120 a bare bones outboard with their own quirks. He suggested all the things you guys did. Ended up testing heat buzzer. Should have done...

Explain this....in an act of desperation I pulled out the brand new 130 degrees thermo and put the cover back on. Boat ran well. I even towed another stranded boater and wife 3 miles to dock. Boat alarm never sounded. Spent time fishing after that.....is 130 degrees too high? It's what's...

Thanks. Will make attempt after work today after I put back together again. I may attempt running a stream of water backwards from the tell tale first. Should that not verify clear passages if it comes out water intake vents at bottom of engime?

Yes. Exact match on the gasket and no did not remove lower unit.. The motor sat a week with head off and motor was trimmed down as low as it would go. Is it possible that all water has drain or evaporated to point that it would need to be primed?

Greetings Well truly am befuddled now. Put everything back together. Started fine but pumped zero water. Overheated almost immediately. Double checked that I'd put thermo back correct and it was. Was pumping water beautifully before removed head. Water never made it to back of head or from tell...

Greetings all Parts all clean ready to go back on. Apparently there is no gasket between cylinder head and cover. Can y'all recommend what sealant for head? Uneasy about it cause it's a marine engine.
