    My new trucklet!

We love ours so far. On this current tank, we are averaging close to 60mpg since we do a lot of local driving.

    New main battery Q

Yep...used in cars like my mom's Buick which sat under the rear seat. The vent went under the car through the floorboard.

    My new trucklet!

We just bought our plug in hybrid Hyundai Santa Fe last week. Nice never having to put in gas if all we do is local trips.

Volvo Penta 740B raw water cooling

I had an oil cooler fail on my 7.4L Volvo Penta but was likely just metal fatigue rather than corrosion that caused it to fail.

    Trailer Brakes or Not

The only reason they would bang is if there is air in the system and they need to be bled.

    Trailer Brakes or Not

I never got around to it but I was considering putting in a wire from the rear of the trailer to the tongue and have a short cable that went to the boat battery to a plug back there. I have to have a breakaway battery for my EOH system.

    Trailer Brakes or Not

Just remove the catch that hold the lever in the actuated position. When you are done bleeding, reattach it.

Surge brakes lasted 1200 miles of highway, whats wrong

I rinse my brakes every time after dunking in salt water so that is why I never had an issue. Kinda dumb not to do that actually but some people do not maintain their stuff very well. Since the regular pads are the exact ones used on some older GM cars, just replace the pads more often or go...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

More than likely which is why I didn't get one that big. Mine is 26' which is plenty. R8 would be a nice size if I wanted one step bigger in a Cobalt. Twin outboards but way less maintenance than 2 sterndrives https://cobaltboats.com/outboards/sc-series/r8-outboard/

Maybe my turn for new boat time

I can see that but for us with lake use only in Lake Tahoe, it's one of the easiest bow to see over of any boat I have ever owned. I never have to stand with our R5. I had a chance to buy my neighbor's 28' Cobalt but 9'9" beam and twin engines were a big no for me. It was perfect condition and...

Maybe my turn for new boat time

Look at the Cobalts. Unfortunately, hard to get since they sell out their allotment early in the year. https://cobaltboats.com/outboards/sc-series/

I had Kodiak brakes for over 10 years and never had an issue like that.
