    What do you use . And Why . Took a year to finish a 5 liter (1.3 gallon) bottle of 2 stroke. Want something better with less smoke. I used regular Castrol from Walmart because it was convenient.

    Thanks, fixed it. It was a bad ground causing the arcing. I removed the CDI , wire brushed the block, the grounding washer & copper wire lead. Cleaned with brake cleaner, applied dielectric grease, and tightened the bolt properly. Problem solved.

    Luckily no cracks. I've also heard the top can warp. Everything is working, as it should. I suspect 3.5 turns is normal on plastic. 1.5 is normal on metal.

    I adjusted the float, cleaned the carb, and it works well. The nipple was worn, float was high causing flooding. The solution was the lower the float, forcing the nipple to seat properly in order to seal . The nipple is worn will have to be eventually replaced. But for now, it works well. I...

    The arch is coming from the lower bolt which attaches the CDI to the frame and also makes a terrible sparking sound . Possibly a bad ground ? Cracked plastic ? The engine is a 94 15HP . Starts, idles, runs .

    Having the same issue on a 95 carb. Lower the float. Bend the tab. Check the needle. If the pink tip is worn, replace it.
