    Ruger single six

That's cool! May look odd pulling it out ... but it would make the other dude think for a few seconds 😁

    car insurance

Thank God he wasn't hurt: I lost a friend to a car wreck this past week. I didn't think a vehicle was considered "drivable" after an airbag deploy. Might talk to your insurance agent about that ... they may be able to tell you how to get the rental covered by the other driver.

Re-upholstery Job on Cruisers Yacht 338 Bowrider

Sorry. I remember adding the quilting on the last one. I was thinking exactly that : the diamond pattern look. #bentleyboating

Maybe this time you should do the quilting. The image above gives me the vintage auto vibe:

He'd have to show me some pretty quality work to convince me that boat is worth $4,500.

    Windows 11 yes/no?

I run a Windows partition on my Mac for some CAD software I work with: I will hold off upgrading for a while simply for stability sake. Windows 10 seems to run fine, so why upset that apple cart? I actually do the same with the MacOs. I was a later adopter of Big Sur and haven't upgraded to...

    1993 hydro sport info

Nothing wrong with them as a brand. They're not necessarily a high end boat, but they do fine. A '93 with reworked floors I would be very careful when looking at. Most people who re-do the deck, don't do a thorough job. Condition is the most important thing in used boats. There's a good...

    deer meat question

I like venison most any way I've ever had it. But I really think it makes certain "sauce" type dishes taste better. Chili; as an example.

    New pistol for carry

With the right skipper, even a dinghy can make it across the ocean. Even a .22 can make a decent carry gun for the guy who knows how to shoot.

    4 hours of Bottom Time!

I find that I'm not really into the idea of too much technical diving - I'm not going into caves, or wrecks unless there's some type of tour system like Bonne Terre. If I'm reading right most of those springs have caves, but they're not the main diving thrust of the spot. I don't think I have...

    4 hours of Bottom Time!

I definitely will do Bonne Terre in the next couple of years. I have a good friend who is considering getting certified and is a spelunker. I've explored a couple of cave systems here in Middle Tennessee with him, so I thought it'd be cool to do that one with him. The Georgia Aquarium is...

1970 River Queen Houseboat new owner here!

LOL ... it was a backhanded encouragement. Your project is a little nuts: but I met a couple of guys recently who had bought project boats for cheap, and were living on them while rehabbing them. One guy bought his for less than $8k. It's a lot of work, but if you're up for the challenge then...

    4 hours of Bottom Time!

@achris This is what I've been reading about and talking with guys in Michigan about: https://thunderbay.noaa.gov/visit/ - my family's cottage is about an hour drive away from Alpena, MI so this is an easy area for me to get to. Apparently, there are some surprisingly nice dives in the area...

    4 hours of Bottom Time!

So, funny but just the opposite really: I've been diving fresh water for the past 18 months or so. Generally load 12lbs in the BC and sink like a brick. In salt, I had been diving with about 16lbs, but as it turns out between my losing some weight (despite the boat photo above) and having...
