    Outboard weight.

That amounts to 40 lbs, so how well can you lift and maneuver 40 lbs ? As a 74 yr old man, I could manage that with no real issue. Depends in your fitness....

    Glastron soft floor

Keep in n nd that fiberglass itself has very little strength that is wht the wood or other structure material. With the look of the rotten wood under that fuel tank cover, you will have more issues the deeper you dig. Boats rot from the bottom up, not down from the top !! As q boat owner for...

    Glastron soft floor

I thought you stated " Do it right once" if you mean that, you will physically check the transom and rest of the hull. If your hull is compromised, having a nice floor won't keep it afloat...

Evinrude 60 HP (3 Cylinder) Won't Suck Fuel

Just a guess, but willing to bet you have some sticky floats. Probably time to get factory carb rebuild kits and do a thorough clean and rebuild kit for the carbs. While your at it a rebuild kit for the fuel pump is not that expensive. If your gonna do your own work, find a factory service...

    obsolete Minn Kota props

If you can't locate the right prop, call MK and ask what they recommend as a replacement. They were very helpful on the occasions I had questions about their motors..

    Prop, or Engine Issue?

I can remember back in those days, my uncle bought a new outboard....the biggest and newest on the market. Can't recall whether 50 or 75 hp, but had a big 4 barrel carb in the front of the V4 engine....man did that thing suck down the fuel !!

Why I do not have new boats.

I don't mind tinkering at all, keeps me busy and the old brain working. When I buy new, I get to concerned with scratches or getting things dirty, takes away the fun ! Buying used means I don't worry about scratches and getting it dirty. Not a fan of the newest and latest electronic gizmos...

Why I do not have new boats.

That is the reason I carry one of those urinal containers like hospitals have. I found one with a large opening so women can use it if needed. No more cleaning up uncontrolled streams. I have found there to be no boats in sight until you gotta pee !

    Evenrude

Has it dropped any at all ? Did you get the bolt that holds the trim tab as it also holds the lower unit. Check your factory service manual, that will show all the bolts.

CDI Electronics and AGM Battery Compatibility

In an emergency, I don't have time to look for a wrench, I have a lexan tool for wing nuts cable tied to the battery where I would not allow a metal wrench to cause an issue. Have had a couple battery emergencies over my 60 years of boating, by the time I scrambled to find a wrench it would have...

Is the motor running correctly ? You would need to know the engine RPM at wot to know if it is performing correctly.

Prop spinning out on a 45 Honda

The mfgr can't call out which prop you need without knowing what boat the motor will be used on. They sometimes make a general size recommendation to get folks started, but a real RPM reading at wot is needed to know what changes are needed to match the application.

    The End

My boat sits in my barn ( thank the Lord) so I can run longer into the season. What n I had my I/O I used a 100 watt light bulb inside the doghouse to keep the engine around 60 degrees until the middle of Nov then put her to bed for the winter. A few years back I downsized to an outboard, so...

    New Journey

I have the same trailer, but my rollers in the rear are much longer ( 5 rollers long)..my center keel roller was replaced with a self centering roller and another keel roller up front. With the longer rear rollers I don't need the front bunks. Was not a fan of the tilt on the rear cross member...
