    What does prepping fiberglass have to do with building a cradle to prevent distorting the hull ? While replacing each floor stringer ? Or even the whole transom ? Cross braces are required if removing the transom completely.

    I keep forgetting there is only 1 way to anything. Your way. I redesigned old production machines to compete competitively with new cheap short lived ones. Always had more than 2 ways to get the job done correctly. Also did it so any failure could always be returned to original productivity.

    Cradles require a LOT of building experience & extra cost. Not a beginners way. To do the each simple stringer method. Boat on a trailer has a cradle under it. Get on with each replacement.

    If your Lead Acid batteries get too far run down. Like to 12.0 volts. They DECREASE in resistance to become almost like a piece of Copper wire. THey will draw so much amps from the rectifier that the rectifier may COOK / overheat to death. Been there with the Evinrude 30 hp & 9.9 hp...

    DO not FORCE yoursef to remove all parts. Simply cut the replacement to fit around the dangerous piece still in there.
