Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

How was the show? I had a couple clients decide not to go. Not sure if the third went. I looked at going down, but we decided against. You going to Miami in February?

What is this on the transom?

The stern saver is "glued" on to the hull (it comes with the adhesive), then the transducer mount is screwed into the stern saver. (Not mine - just an image off the net)

can anyone identify what this model name is ?

There were actually several Sunray manufacturers. Sun Ray (OH), Sun Ray (IL), Sunray (Canada), Sunray by Fiesta, and Sunray (CA). None of those have annual listings for 1985, but the last one (CA) has a couple of 20+ footers in 1984.

What is this on the transom?

Not great photos, but that's how I've got it setup right now. Looking at the exterior in the photo, it's a little ungainly. But in real life, I nearly never notice that cable, and it has never gotten in the way (even the dog gets in and out without a problem). I like that I can very easily pull...

    Telescoping emergency paddle

^^^^ Gotta' agree: winds, waves and 300 yards makes for a looooong day. Oarlocks and a set of nice oars will be MUCH easier.

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

Was driving out to Cookeville, TN the other day. Caught a shot of the Caney Fork River as Fall is showing off it's colors here in Tennessee:

    Winterizing time!

Same as above: I've always stored my boats a relatively controlled garage, so I don't use antifreeze. But with the Stringer, I always pulled the drive. It was too easy and fast not to; and that made the annual PM easier.

Wound up in Cookeville tonight for a while (at my in-laws), what came through there was pretty sporty, but not the worse I've seen. As I drove home headed southwest, there was a lot of scattered debris. Didn't see any significant damage, emergency crews or downed trees.

    Vista 275

Welcome aboard: Impeller is in good shape, but have you confirmed you're getting water flow up in the engine? (perhaps there's a blockage) Also, have you checked the thermostat?

What is this on the transom?

Most people (I think) put a hole above the waterline and bring the cable in through that hole. I opted to just bring mine up and over the gunwale and run it behind one of the stern jump seats. In my case, it's hidden pretty well, doesn't get in the way and I didn't have to drill any holes in the...

Listened to a lot of their stuff. Fun bunch. The three times I've been to the Grand Ole' Opry the Riders in the Sky have played: Fun music and seem to be great fellows.

    daily music fix

I do better with older country, even back to old cowboy music. But living in Nashville, you kinda' can't help but like it a little bit: catchin' the famous folk playing live around town you gain a new appreciation for them as musicians. Loretta had a ranch / resort out west of Nashville, and...

Lost one of the greats yesterday: I wasn't a huge fan of her music, but she's got a great reputation as a fine human being.
