    Wobble roller placement

What is the max capacity on that trailer ? Being a single axle, makes me wonder if the trailer can safely carry that load. I am one that goes a little overboard, with that said, I would want more rollers under that hull to support the boat providing the trailer is built to handle that load.

    2003 StarCraft C Star 160

Most glass boats are good for 15-20 years before major overhaul is needed. Of course how it was stored and maintained means everything !! Due to the age, a test for rotten structure wood is needed. The skeleton of this boat is made from wood and needs tested to be sure it isn't rotted...

    Help Identifying this hull

If it is an aluminum hull you have a chance of repairing it, if it were a glass hull, I would run away ! Does look like a Lone Star to me as well.

    Prop Shear Pin Needed

Yep, what n I was a young lad, money was scarce, so I made many sheer pins from anything brass I could slip thru the hole in the prop shaft. Hack saw to length....made a bunch that way...

    Transom help

You have holes eaten thru the transom, high probability that there is more corrosion in hidden places. Why gamble with you life and those that may ride along. If the aluminum is corroded then it is weak. Over my 60 plus years of boating, I don't have enough fingers to count all of the new...

    Water in my lenses

Salt water changes everything....my results have always been in fresh water. I did move to sealed LED years ago, no issues, no burned out bulbs and far brighter. As far as the posters lights, there probably is a small hole some where, typically where the wire comes in...those little seals fail...

    Water in my lenses

Up until I went with LED lights, my old trailer lights were open on the bottom, when backed into water it trapped the air inside so no water would enter. Don't remember the brand but they were old. Square housing with an open bottom, worked great for many years, but over those years things...

    Transom help

The only one I can think of is to wear life jackets at all times and only use a small motor and don't go out further than you can swim back in !! Not a safe situation at all !

    Dies in gear

Your rebuild kit should have all the specs for carb setup...once up and running all carb adjustments are made in the water while underway ! On muffs or in a tub means nothing.

    1991 mercury starting issue

First thing is to have your battery tested, even newer batteries can go bad. If battery checks out, then clean all connections until brite and shinny ! After that check the starter !

    Battery charger recommendation for winter

In years past many Chinieusm built trickle chargers were junk. About 15 years back I switched to Battery Tender brand and never an issue. But I buy the maintainer units, not just the trickle charge units. According to many battery mfgrs, a charger of at least 1.5 amps is suitable for...

2006 40hpELPTO 2 stroke, is some white smoke normal?

Not around any salt water, so asking out of curiosity...why a tub ? I would think muffs would be a constant flow of clean water to flush, where as a tube would be circulating deluted salt water. My thinking might be off here as I have never lived around salt water but have a curious mind.....

Best way to clean a Plastic fuel tank?

Buy a couple quarts of carb cleaner, do a small test on the tank to be sure it is compatable, but with today's plastic tanks, I am sure there won't be a problem.
