    flat top pistons

    I am rebuilding a Mercrusier 3.0L and i have access to a set of flat top pistons for 1/2 the price of the new ones from a online supplier . The pistons that came out of the engine have a d cup in the top. Can I use the flat tops in this engine or can they only be used in the 3.0LX.
