Trail camera issues fixed, now pics from them ...

Have a friend in our area that tracks animals and other things. He has a little Dashound ( long haired weiner dog) that has an awesome nose ! Never heard about not being able to finish a deer off, so not sure what the rules are here. I do know that his little dog has found other pets and even...

    hub dust cap

I have had many bearing buddies or other bearing covers like them over my 60 plus years of owning trailers. All the ones I had, had a small overflow hole so excess grease would come out that overflow hole rather than being forced out the seals from to much pressure. I just assumed all were...

Just thought I'd share a nice photo.

I hear ya.....haven't used the plow blade on my side by side, nor my big snowblower in three years. If it is gonna be cold....let it snow....if no snow then let it be 70 degrees.....

Gotta be a fake picture....global warming would not allow any cold for snow...

    hub dust cap

Only tried the caps with a rubber center plug one time. They came with a used trailer. After filling with grease, the rubber inserts kept popping out when going down the road, allowing the grease to come out. Tossed them and went with bearing buddies. Never interested in trying them again.

What prop to use 50hp evinrude

Makes no difference what prop Suzuki recomends....the wot rpm is needed to know if a pitch change is needed. No sense buying a prop with the wrong pitch, unless you enjoy spending money foolishly.

    Boat values

That can depend on condition of the boat your trying to sell. Is there any type if demand for the boat your selling? Only once did I ever have a problem selling one of my boats. Nothing was wrong with it, just a slow market, and the boat was not popular even though it was a Starcraft. Took...

    adding a forward fishing deck

Once you get it supported, my guess is the fiberglass would be heavier than the wood, and the wood will look better, and fit your needs better.

    Offer accepted

With the wife becoming disabled a few years back, I have been giving some thought to downsizing. Would hate to give up the home we built in 1999 but it is getting difficult to maintain 2800 sq ft on my own. On top if that there is 5 acres of land to maintain. One of the biggest issues...

View of unloaded trailer with pickups

Thanks to those that mentioned my backup camera could be modified to remove that annoying center line that blocks the coupled image....found it and removed that center line ! Won't know how well it will work to see the coupler until spring. Shame on me for not researching this sooner....like...

Redoing a Starcraft Islander transom using Coosa board.

Maby just me, but why would anyone want to put fiberglass in an aluminum boat ?

Redoing a Starcraft Islander transom using Coosa board.

That I/O transom needs lots of strength !! I would stick with plywood if it were me and forget the foods board or you might be replacing it again. Not sure how they justify the price on that flimsy material. If you do the plywood correctly, you will never have to do it again in your life...

Cotter pin for Prop...Any one will do??

If you do the manual maintenance as requested by the mfgr, you need to pull the prop, check for fishing line and any damage to the shaft, then replace ( not reuse) the cotter pin with a new one. If you follow these standard practices, no need for SS pin, any pin will do and not rust away within...

Cotter pin for Prop...Any one will do??

The Scott At Water motor brings back fond memories....had a 7.5 hp with bail o magic system on my leaky old 12' tinny, when I was a young lad. My uncle was a fond Scott owner over the years. He owned a number of their motors, and they always seemed a little faster than others. His 22 hp was...

Cotter pin for Prop...Any one will do??

If you follow recommended maintainence schedules, SS pins are not needed for fresh water. Most all motor mfgrs highly recommend pulling the prop at season end or at least once per year to check for fishing line wrapped around the prop shaft ! The cotter pin needs pulled if you have one to...
