Looks like a mid 70's to me. Probably a 302 engine.
What is your hull ID number? It will give you the model year. It's located at the top of the transom on the starboard side. Look here for a sales brochure

1977 or older. Mine is a 1978 and it was the first year of the change.

Not really a classic, but this is my 1992 Wellcraft 215 Eclipse. Stole it off a guy for $1800. Can't wait to get her in the water this spring.

Not really sure what defines classic? Maybe 20 years? If so you're close enough, can you believe it's almost been 20 years since 92???

I'm not in the UK but I like your boat! Click on the journeyII link in my sig. I need to update to include the interior resto...coming soon.

Post up some more pics of yours.

Do you know your LOA? My 78 210XL looks almost identical, do you have any interior shots?

LOA is 21' and change. I believe it is the same hull you have. Don't know why they decided on the 220XL nomenclature. Marketing probably thought it made it sound bigger i guess:). I've been curious what made the XL vs. non XL. The certification badge actually says nova 21. Sure is a sweet ride though. Click on the journey II link in my sig. There are a few more pics in there. Here is one pre tearout.

Thanks for the info, I thought they were the same. The interior looks pretty much the same too.
I agree on the sweet ride, this hull is perfect for the Chesapeake bay!

I thought I had already posted this, guess not!

The first picture is from this weekend, the 2nd is from RIGHT after I finished restoring it. Transom, deck, upholstery, etc. I still want to get the decals off and paint the hull, but that is going to have to wait another season at least.

I did the wet sand and buff on my 70 165 Airslot and the shine came up real nice, then I sealed it with Gel Coat Labs all surface sealant ( http://www.properautocare.com/gelcolaallma1.html) and it still has a nice shine after 1 yr..
It's alot of work but far less than a paint job.

Boat looks great, your interior looks real good.
