Ok I have been around boats my hole life, I have raced 1/4 boat I have owned a boat shop for years and I went for a ride today in an 02 tr 21 with a 200 merc optmax and that thing was the scarryiest riding boat I have ever ridden in. I have driven blown fuel jets and blown flats that where safer then this thing. I am trying to figure out if it is just this boat or if it is something that is inherent in these things.

Re: chine walking

The first time I drove my boat I thought there was something wrong with it but a friend showed how to steer it out of the chine walking. I don't even realise I'm doing now.

Re: chine walking

My 2000 TR19 175 EFI does the same thing around 60 mph. It is very scarey to say the least. I just stay below 60!

How do you steer it out of it? Will it start doing it again on the same pass?
