The on/off foot switch went bad on my motorguide 764 brute 24v/ 64lb. So while i was removing the wires from under the 2 posts on the switch i found 1 wire that was broken and the other end was connected under the other post of the switch. It looks to have a resistor in-line. But i don't know if i should make a new one and put it back or not. Has anyone here ran across this and what would it be for? It was basically connected between the 2 posts on the on/off switch . Any help would be appreciated.
Could a admin move this to the trolling motor section. Sorry i posted thinking about my boat and not the tm.
