Re: Thundercraft Member Gallery

Thank you both Cyber and Paul. The insurance company is happy. Can the yellow water line marks ever be removed - or can you recomend a product? Thx

U bet... Uz welcome.... Find a hull cleaner that has oxalic acid as its main ingredient.. Slimey Grimey brand comes to mind... Also , there are alot of wood /deck cleaners that are oxalic acid based... I am using deck cleaner this summer, as I got a gallon for free... Turns the white back to white like magic. And Ive tried a bunch o'different ones, and IMHO, this is by far the best chemical cleaner... Totally non abrasive.

PS... another usefull tip I learned on this forum is to carry a spray bottle of vinegar / water mixed [ approx 1/3 V to 2/3 W ] in my tow vehicle. When I pull my boat out of the water on the trailer. I walk around and mist the boat with it. [ quickly, before it dries] Then towel dry. GREATLY helps to minimize water spots.....

And in the interest of the history of this boat, here is the Logo which I believe indicates it was built in Ohio, by the same company that built playtime pontoons, hence the playtime trailer it came with.

Hey I want in on this! 1985 (or so) Thundercraft 15' outboard. Lots of upgrades over the last couple of years. Hopefully I can get another 10 years out of this boat.

Hi all! I just became a first time boat owner with the purchase of my 88 Thundercraft 177 Nova. Very happy with the boat so far and had it on the water for the first time yesterday running strong. Working on shining it up and some minor detail work and stoked to do so. Posting a pic of the first day of ownership when my wife surprised me at work with it. I will upload newer pics soon as it's a bit shinier now :)IMG_20130527_201220.jpg

Hey I thought I would keep this thread going, just joined the forum and just got a 1988 Thundercraft 286. Great shape runs fantastic, those twin 4.3ls are quiet. Here's a pic.

My Sig says it all Have owned this 86 since 1990. Been a great boat to me. Sorry about the repeat pics.

I just found this site doing some Thundercraft searching and it is one helpful site.
I have a Citation that almost looks like your twin except mine is an outboard.
1987 Thundercraft 17' 90HP Evinrude.
I have not had it out for almost ten years. I have to go through everything and check it out so I can get her back in the water.

I recently purchased this 1986 Thundercraft, 4.3 lt., 16.5 feet with the white stern drive. I would like to know the model to help get part.
