why does the seats in your 9 year old boat need to be redone?

maybe look underneath the pedestal seats to see if there is a manufacturer label or something. You might be able to buy the same seat. Installing them might be a challenge depending on if you have access below deck.

I wasnt joking. Most boats dont need anything done to the seats for 20+ years if the boat was well cared for and garage kept.

I just replaced my seats
I had to lengthen two of the mounting holes on the aluminum plate, but it wasn't difficult at all. The hardest part was getting the seat loose. Its held on with 4 phillips head screws, and you have to have a very short screwdriver to get them out. They should have used hex head bolts so they could be removed with a socket.

Thanks. I was looking at those exact seats

Did you use the original pedastal with these? Happy with the new seats?
