the other boat is a 22 ft Xpress BIG flat bottom with a 115 Mer 4 stroke on it , most stable fishing and hunting platform I ever owned , you would not believe the fish , ducks, deer that has been hauled out in that thing

maiden run for the 64 starcraft tonight ,, top speed 31 on GPS , comes out of the hole well , still a little lite in the nose , but I have to bolt on the troller and 2 batteries

man we sure got some looks , several stopped and ask about the boat ,

boat rode great in rough chop

turns on a DIME and trolling speed it looks like it will turn in it's own length

the Honda was a LOT louder than I thought it should be , had to set the idle speed and that was it , also had a small viberation in the Honda , not as smooth as I thought a Honda should be.

all n all a good boat

Machine, the rig looks great with all that camo. What a nice layout for hunting and fishing:)

The youtube videos are pretty neat too, I can't believe how many crappie are in that reservoir.

I caught my first one last summer, not too common here but they are around. Caught one on a tiny rapala trollilng once, excellent fish to catch and eat:D

thanks Hoss if you ever want to go call me @ 580-212-0285

you guys have helped a LOT

the troller came in Fri and I may bolt it on today .

too many IDIOTS on the lake this weekend for me to tolerate , I don't deal well with people that cannot load and unload a boat correctly , or cannot back a trailer and have there wives to try .......

I'll get back after the crappie next weekend

BTW I have some video of the 1st "sea trials" LOL

on the video I only had 1/2 tank full , no trolling motor or the 2 front batteries , it was a LOT nose lite ,, I ran it Friday evening with full load of fuel 21 gal , trolling motor and 2- group 27 batteries and it handled MUCH better , less hop ,comes out fine

Re: 1964 Starcraft boat build & a "newbe" to this site

me & WIFEY took the 64 out for it's 1st real fishing trip....

caught about 40 Sac-au-lait
1- channel cat ( on crappie jig)

4 Spotted bass

the Minn Kota Ipilot is the BERRYS , if you break off jig , just hit "anchor' and it HOLDS YOU THERE
you do not drift off the brush pile.

the boat is a "little " tippy as most v's are and a little narrow for 2 on the deck but not bad .

I need to borrow a tach I think I over propped I had a 13 P on it now & the boat FULLY LOADED , 21 gal gas , 2 big ice chest with ice , tackle and the both of us

27.8 MPH on GPS Lowrance 520C

it LOVES waves good smooth ride

everything works well on the boat .

the Bimini is NICE 101 today

and the LOOKS we get in it LOL we went for lunch after fishing and people come up and want to know EVERYTHING about the old ride LOL

they ask 1st "WHERE DID YOU GET IT PAINTED" ....

when I tell them "WE DID IT" ,, I think they think we are telling them a windy LOL
