1969 Offshore Transom

Does anyone know what the max weight rating is? The plaque in the boat says 125HP but does not say what the weight is. I'm looking to re-power and I want to make sure what ever I go with is correct. Someone suggested that I look up the weight of a 125 motor in 69 but I'm also having trouble finding reliable info on motors pre '74. Any help is appreciated!

An 18'r is a great platform for a 115 HP motor, the weight isn't a concern unless your adding a kicker, more fuel and extra batteries. There isn't a spec for motor weight, just total for persons, motor and gear.

A 1972 Evinrude 125 HP is listed in the brochure at about 252 lbs.-----A new modern motor is much heavier of course.----A new Evinrude 115 HP is listed at 405 LBS.
