This is my 1975 springbok Sprinter. 14 ' 225 lbs rated at 25HP. I picked it up last fall and tore out the rotted seats and this week while in lock down removed the rotted transom wood and began sanding the top. I have two rough sandings of the bow removing the red house paint the previous owner had applied over a fading factory red. I will be replacing the bench seats with padded folding fishing seats which will create more room. I have a few loose rivets on the bottom to replace and reseal that area. other then that it is structurally sound. Once the top is sanded I will flip over and sand the bottom, zinc primer and a coat of white paint. then a coat a red on the bow and stern. Nice project for 2020.

We have a lot of time to work on projects now. Keep up the good work.

Interesting use of zip ties to keep tension on the steering cable. I used a tie down strap that always in the way.

What motor did the steering hook up too?

I don't have a clue on what engine was on it as i bought it from a guy who inherited it with no engine. At the moment I have a 1953 bigtwin 25 short shaft that was rebuilt years ago I could use. I am also working on a 1983 25 hp Merc I may use it if i get it running this summer but the Merc is a long shaft so I would have to find a short shaft lower for it.
The one question i have ever since routing the cablles and using cable ties to keep the tension is there is nothing for the springs to hook too. There are no anchor straps or points I can see. I may add two turn buckles to the strap the rear pulleys attach too.

There may be what look like bimini eye straps or similar riveted under the gunnels.

Yes there is one set and they are used for the rear pulleys nothing else. I am thinking of putting the turn buckles on them behind the pulleys
