I am the proud new owner of a 1968 SS235 slickcraft. I intend to restore my boat to like new condition. I have the hull number on the title but can't find it on the boat can anyone out there help me?

My 1973 SS 235 has the hull identification number located on the outside the the stern on the starboard side.

Black sheep has it correct - sometimes its been painted over so look with care.

At the starboard side stern, there is a hull imprint with the hull ID #. The last 2 numbers are the year.

On the earlier boats the ID numbers are on a metal tag up near the throttle or behind it, it is on the plate showing load capacity. That is where mine is on a 1972 SS-235. The law changed according to the Coast Guard, maybe in 1973
