1990 seaswirl squirt questions.

So I was thinking of picking this boat up. It's in excellent condition and runs good. They say it needs a transmission. How much is that to fix. Can the project be completed at home or should a specialist do it. Im sorry I don't know much about this boat. But its being offered very low. So its worth checking. Any info would be appreciated.

I know its a super late reply. But you need to know what the problems with the red gear is, before knowing the difficulty or price of the project. Might be easier to put a new lower unit on it.
