Attempting to start 1972 Outboard Model#217-58870. Have confirmed spark, compression and fuel. Have cleaned carborator, replace needle valve and seat, replaced leaky float and calibrated to 11/64 gap. Engine will fire if I'm luck but plug becomes saturated with fuel quickly. Have tweaked float setting in hopes of finding a sweat spot where it will start and run but have failed. Any suggestions on what I'm overlooking or do I just have a shortage of patients?
