This is a 1987 Searay Seville, 18.5 feet long. I keep buying boats than need work, but I'm finally over it. Of the 6 boats I have bought, only one is still seaworthy. That one was brand new, a little mini plastic bass boat. I just bought this, but it's 26 years old and I am scared. This is the original interior from what I have read online, but that means crap, I have learned in the boating world. I am the 3rd owner and all the original paperwork is with it. It was (supposedly) garaged it's whole life. It has a 4.3 I/O that started first time with a shot of gas because it has not been registered in 2 years. It came with 2 skis, a slalom ski, a pull tube, a kneeboard a wake board and many ropes. Came with 9 life jackets both adult and child. Also included were an anchor and an extra prop. It has some rust looking coloration on the passenger side seat in the photo showing the gauges. The floor is firm. I paid $3400 for it, but it's 26 year old. I'm scared I screwed up. Is this a good price for this boat? It also has 2 platforms on the back, one with a ladder to climb from the water. PLEASE HELP!

Also came with a top that snaps onto the windshield for shade. No rips, good shape.

You did all right. This was the first SeaRay for the common man--less expensive boat. I consider them a good value, and this Ray appears to have been well taken care of.

And the 4.3 is the best engine you can get for this size of boat. Be sure to go ahead and change the lower unit lube--looking for water intrusion. And change the oil and filter. While you're at it, disassemble, clean and grease the wheel bearings.

Quality boats with good styling keep on looking good for a long, long time.

You did good, I had an 87 17' Seville, same color scheme as yours, ran that until 2004 when I bought the 185 I now have. I still love the lines of that vintage Sea Ray.
