Bought the boat for a song. Still get compliments everytime I take it out. It's a gorgeous boat and a lot of fun.

I have a 17 footer of the same vintage and I absolutely love it. My needs really dictate an outboard powered boat, but I don't want to sell it.

Other than the rotten deck, my 1990 Sea Ray 180 has been a great boat too. It has a 1991 Merc 135 on it, and it too tops out at about 48 mph. My wife and I both love the way it handles and rides!

Have a 1985 Sea Ray Seville 5.6 Bowrider. It came with the Mercruiser 140 inline four and alpha one drive. This is a solid built boat. We take it out in moderate chop and it handles very well. The floor is soft in a few spots, but hey it's over 20 years old! I would buy another Sea Ray, they make a well made boat IMHO.

How about some pics? There's a thread in this forum where folks are posting images of their Sea Rays. Mine's there. Let's see yours!

Since I posted to this thread in December, I have effected repairs on my rotten deck. We've been out once already on April 1, and are looking forward to another day out this Saturday---if the wind ain't blowin' up a gale.

Hey Dan, I have a brand new Bimini with the frame and hardware still in the box from Overton's. If you're interested let me know and I'll send out a photo and the specs for you.

Re: 1987 SeaRay Seville 19'

I just bought a 21' Seville with a 4.3 ltr motor. Great price. Have not had it in the water yet. I am having some problems with the hydraulic pump the lifts the outdrive. It works to go down, but when I hit the up switch, it engages the pump but then quits. Any suggestions?

This is what the repair manual says:
1- Failure of operator to push proper button
2-Interlock switch open or disconnected
3-Wiring not connected properly
4-Defective solenoid
5-Defective wiring,connections,or solenoid
6-Defective key,push button,or rocker switch
7-Defective pump motor

PS . the purchase of the seloc mercruiser repair manual is a must for us old boat owners...Available at West Marine

Re: 1987 SeaRay Seville 19'

I had purchased a 19 foot 1987 Sea Ray Seville on 11/17/06. I couldn't take her on the lake until May of 07. She was winterized when I bought her. When boating seasoned opened in May I didn't do anything to the boat except adding fuel. This boat was well maintained. I sure hate to winterize the boat, because I know boating season is officially over. Wish it was May now.

How much? Is it sold?

We just finished it.

We have had it out on the lake several times now with no problems.
It has the 4.3 liter gm motor with the cobra outdrive and it's plenty fast.

Not ready to sell it. The wife and I need to enjoy our hard work for a while.
