I have a 2007 38DA Sea Ray Sundancer. I ran a ground in Cape May, NJ. It was all mud. I had to get towed off. I did not hit at full speed. I cleaned the strainers and the engines seem to be running at normal temps. There may a very very minimal vibration. Nothing significant. Last year I ran a ground and then made a 6 hour run in the ocean and when I got back my dripless (stuffing box) burned up and was leaking. I am about to take the same run back north and I was wondering that when I ran aground will that suck sand/mud into the impeller that would prohibit water to cool the dripless and in turn melting it again which would make me take on water again? I want to make sure I have safe trip home. Is there anything I can check to make sure this doesnt happen? Is there some way to flush it out?

Thank for all your help.
