Re: The Official Sea Nymph Forum for seanymph Boat Owners

My name is Steve and I own a ~1998 vintage Sea Nymph aluminum boat with a deck. Whatever isn't covered with gray vinyl has a light gray matte paint inside and out.

It's badly in need of a touch up.

Any ideas as to what's the best way to source paint? Grays are notoriously hard to match.

sheinz please start a topic about your SeaNymph paint questions

This is a topic to post pix of SNs, not a repair/discussion about work on SNs topic.

I'll add my new to me 1990 SS195 Fish N Ski. Motor doesn't work, merc 850, got some soft spots in the floor, but the price was right so I had to have it.

Very nice, looks like a great candidate for a restore.

1989 TX155 Tournament with an 89 25hp Johnson. Nice little boat that has put a fair share of fish on the deck. Ready to get a wireless TM and add a storage hatch on the bow deck. Then it will complete.

Sad day. After 16 years of ownership I sold my Nymph last night. I'll be sure to stay active in the community.. After all once a Nympher always a Nympher

Amen brother, I sold my 16'r but still have very fond memories of the old gal and my first resto as well. Having 4 Starcraft boats in the fleet does take some of the sting away. Do you have another boat that you replaced it with?

I finally figured out how to add some photos on here! Wohoo! Turns out i just had to use a computer and not my iphone. I thought i would share a few photos of my 195GLS with a 140 evinrude on it. I bought it about 2 years ago with a 70HP evinrude on it and put the 140 on last year.

It runs about 45mph. I’m hoping to get my rpm this year and get the right prop for it. It currently has a 14x17 on it.

Hello???? anyone out there :)

Just picked up a 1978 17' Sea Nymph (walk-thru)
500 Mercury on it which turns out to be frozen.
Most likely will get a somewhat newer outboard for it if I can find one I can afford.

I recently became the proud owner of this 1990 195 GLS. I absolutely love it. Handles big water well ( the Columbia River) yet tows easily and trailers like a dream. It is in great shape and is very comfortable. I have a 1990 90 HP Johnson and a 1985 15 HP Johnson. I added a new Minn Kota 55 lb 54” Terrova w Ipilot. Trolling is amazingly simple and it is easy to forget you occasionally need to look the direction you are moving. (I set I tracks w the main motor and then have the Minn Kota simply follow the tracks.)

For now my new to me 17 footer is out at my brothers place while I'm getting some space cleared for it at my house.
Did find a 2005 60 hp mercury 4 stoke, 118 hrs on it a couple days ago. Not sure how good a deal I got, paid $3,600.00 and got the control with it :)

pics in a week or so.......
