I thought my offer was fair

I recently walked away from a 2011 Sea Hunt Triton 225 purchase. After a month of research i walked into the dealership with what i thought was a fair offer and after 2 hours of back and forth, the dealer wouldn't budge and neither would i. Since this would've been my first brand new boat purchase (i've bought 3 used before), i'd like to know if i my offer was out of line. For simply the boat, motor (150hp) and trailer my final offer was $36K out the door. I still thought it was too much, but i offered it anyway. Dealer turned my down cold. I live in Florida with 6% tax. I didn't need any add-on as i have them from my previous boats. Was i off the mark?
Thanks

Without knowing invoice price on this rig. it is hard to tell. But I suspect you offered him below what he had in it. What price did he want?

He had it listed for $36,900, but he said that doesnt include a trailer.

A trailer for that boat could run as much as $5000 so I think your offer was probably a little low...
