Scout 187 Sport Fisherman

I'm looking at a 1999 Scout 187 Sport Fisherman and was hoping for some info from anyone who owns one or knows about them. The specs show that this model has a draft of 10", but from what I've observed specs are not always accurate. I live on a tidal creek and have a Carolina Skiff 16 which draws 7-9 " depending on weight. I want a larger, more powerful boat, but if it draws too much it will limit my boating access at low/mid tide. thanks for any input.

187? I thought thought they didnt start making them till recently. Anyway, try looking at Scout's Bay Boat.

The sportfish model(other then 140 & 160) has a deep-V and would not make a very good shallow water boat.

If you're still looking, check out the 170 Dorado. I have one of those and even though I didn't get it for shallow water use particularly I'm amazed at how little it draws.
