I am considering trading for a 16 foot lund. I haven't seen the boat in person yet. The owner says it I a 1993 boat, but if I am decoding the HIN it is a 1990 boat, and by lunds brochures it looks like a 1990 tyee rebel. Also the HIN has 13 digits in it as well. Is that normal? The HIN is "LUN1T0081H990" on his title. It has a 75 hp Suzuki on it with a 6 hp tohatsu kicker on it. Thanks for any info, Scott.

That HIN isnt accurate.

If thats the # listed on the title, its in error.

The HIN on the title should match the HIN on the boat and be 12digits, not 13.

Assuming theres simply an extra letter/# in the 13digit #, its likely to be a 1990 boat based on the last 2 #s in the HIN you posted.

Get a 12digit HIN and you can run it here
Www.HINDecoder.com

Neither the 13digit # you ppsted nor the same # missing the 2nd or 3rd to last # (1 of the 2 # 9s):

I decided there was just too much negative with the boat and decided to pass on the deal, so the search continues. Thanks so much for your help!
