I mean, Is the tiller removable on all motors so they can be controlled by steering from up front? I'd like to use an older motor , as old as the boat (1959 or 60) but utilize the steering wheel at the dash along with the controls.

I've located a very nice 1957 35hp Evinrude. Very clean cond. Bought from an Ohioan who was the second owner. Registered there for several years thEn man retired in Crossville; upgraded his boat, so I got steering, controls, electric start/choke, short shaft; runs smooth.
