According to this post, http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=400436&page=1
this is how you identify the year of your Lone Star:
"finding the hull ID plate located on the rear (aft) starboard (right) side of the boat it will be about a 1-1/2"-2" tall and about 4"-5" long plate with a number punched into it, the 1st number in the string is the year of manufacture, IE: "9" equals 1959, "0" equals 1960 so on and so forth"

Re: How to learn the year of your Lone Star boat....

My Lone Star Chrysler Commander ser.#16913411 is it a 51 or 61 model.
This was my grandfather's boat and on some of his paper work I just found shows it is a 1967 model and ser# 6913411 but the ser# plate shows #16913411.
Any info on this boat and series would be great.
Thanks,

I'm not sure since I was only passing on the information, but if I were to hazard a guess, I would say that yours is indeed a 1967 model, but built in 1966 for release in 1967. If your paperwork or boat have anything on them that indicates that it is a "Lone Star Chrysler Commander" as you say, then it must be a 1967 model, since Crysler did't purchase Lone Star until May of 1965. See http://www.fiberglassics.com/library/Lone_Star
As I say, this is all guesswork based on the research that I have done, but it seems authentic to me.
