Year of My Lone Star Caribbean? Value?

Hello, Folks:

I am new to all this and starting to get a bit concerned about all I need to learn and do to fix my boat. I think that this is a 1957 boat. It's 19 ft. Probably have to gut the wood and redo just about everything. Last ran in 2006 -- amazingly, from Helena to Fort Peck Reservoir and back (in Montana). Has sat out and gotten trashed.

This boat was a patrol boat at the panama Canal with the original Johnson Meteor motor. Has a siren on top that still moans (kinda) I wil need hardwar and do not know where to get original parts like emblems and brand scripts that are supposed to be on the hear sides. What is the value of this cool, trashed tub?

Pics are on my blog which is http://jiminmontana.wordpress.com

Thanks so much for your advice and expertise

Sorry I cant offer you any help other than to reccomend the
Antique Outboard Motor Club for info on the motor.

I wish you luck on your project. That is one neat looking boat.
Really interesting history to it!
Good Luck

Thanks, steve:

I have a post there at AOMCI now, too. Word is that that serial number is not a lot of help since it was before Johnson starting using a system that could be decyphered. Someone will have to be able to tell what it is from the pics on my blog.

Regards, Jim
