Your boat looks just like mine.

I love the colour you painted it.

Any idea on the make and model year?

Would love to see any pics of 1958 Lone Star Montereys. Particularly with the original rust orange deck paint. If you have a 1960 or 61 40 hp outboard, please send pics of that, too. Would like to restore my boat to original specs.

Thanks!

I got one.

I've changed the colour to colonial blue with white trim and stone-fx tones on the cap. I have considered converting the boat back to it's original colour. I'm looking for a windshield as we speak. I had to replace much of the deck due to gigantic goles in the floor.

If anyone has a clear picture of the lone * star symbol from the side of the stern (or has a complete metal peice) I am looking for them. I'll make a stencil out of the picture of one. I'll buy the metal version. :)

Try http://www.fiberglassics.com/lonestar/still.asp for some great pics!

Do you have one? They're a great boat. Very light and fast!

I may have you are looking for. I acquired a 1961 Monterey with a 40hp Evinrude recently. Still has original rust paint although faded. I will attach a photo even tho it is sort a shabby shot.

Also, I am trying get new seats for this boat. It looks like it has brackets for the forward/aft facing lounge type seats. Anyone know if there are single seat adapting methods available?

Thanks,
Jim Cope

Re: 1960,s 14' lone star

I have a 1959 Lone Star Monterey with windscreen and original everything and an Evinrude Lark electric start hanging off the back. Boat looks great, runs great (only four hours on engine refurbished four years ago by a guy who cut his teeth repairing them) stored in a garage all these years but I can not keep her. Seems you guys may have an interest! She is truly pure right down to her 1960 safety inspection sticker on the windscreen.

I'll take some photos this weekend of the lone star symbols on the stern for you scrobo and post them if I can figure it out.

Thought I would post some more pictures of this ongoing Lonestar Monterey project. The actual model year is 1959 (I was mis informed before about it being a '58.)

New colour scheme. Adding some new things to it over the winter. Stereo deck etc.

Re: 1960 14' lone star boat and trailer for sale...

I just draged home a 14' lonestar monterey with a 28hp 1962 Scott sport motor, not sure of the exact year of the boat its self, some where in the late 50's early 60's, I was told it ran fine when it was used last (over 15 years ago). I am looking for a set of controll cables the ones on it have split, if anyones got some or leads on how to get them please let me know!
