Hey all,

I've got a Key Largo 160 that appears to have water and possibly sand in the gas tank; This is based on the thin layer of white, sandlike sobstance that accumulates on the bottom of the removable part of my seperator. Are tanks on these boats plastic/fiberglass?

How could stuff like this get into the gas tank - A friend of mine mentioned to check the fuel vent to see if it can be coming in thru there - However, I don't find one on the boat and assume it has a vented fuel cap.

Also, how would one go about cleaning out a gas tank - I can't take it out of the boat unfortunately. I know they can go in and pump out/in gas at high pressure or such to loosen anything on the bottom??

Thanks All
